Purple Bud Feminized cannabis seeds are highly prized around the world, thanks to their powerful high and distinctive violet buds. The strain has impressive genetics, with its parent plants being Hindu Kush, an Afghan-Jamaican cross, and a Purple Kush. It’s this parentage that makes Purple Bud indica-dominant - 75%, in fact, with 25% sativa genetics too.

This version of the strain is feminized, which means male plants won’t be a problem. The whole cultivation process is easier, as you won’t have to identify and remove these unwanted plants. With Purple Bud Feminized you’ll also benefit from a relatively short flowering time, which is around 60 to 66 days on average.

As you’d expect from an indica-dominant strain, the plants are relatively compact. Most tend to reach heights of between 90 and 140 cm, depending on whether they’re grown outside in free soil or indoors. Their structure is classic indica too - sturdy, stocky and bushy, with wide-fingered leaves.

You can anticipate a generous harvest from Purple Bud Feminized. If you’re growing your plants inside, expect to generate around 450 to 500 g/m2. Outside, it’s common to gather harvests of about 600 to 800 g per plant.

The buds usually form in clusters on the plants, and tend to turn vivid shades of violet and purple. This is particularly the case if they’re grown in cooler environments. Their colour, combined with their huge amounts of sparkling resin, makes them especially attractive.

Purple Bud Feminized can be successfully grown in either temperate or continental climates. Alternatively, you can cultivate in the home, under lights. They also respond well to the SCROG (Screen of Green) and SOG (Sea of Green) cultivation techniques.

Effect, taste, and smell of Purple Bud Feminized

Purple Bud Feminized is 75% indica, 25% sativa. The indica dominance can be felt in the stone, but the sativa component makes itself known too.

In fact, the sativa genetics come through strongly at the start, with an initial rush of euphoria. This is followed up by an intense sense of relaxation, both for the body and mind. It’s a mellow, soothing stone, which is potent, but not a total couch-lock. Please note - this is a potent strain and perhaps not ideal for beginners!

While the plants are growing, they produce an earthy indica scent; dank and strong, with a hint of blueberry. The aroma gets stronger as the buds develop, and at this point, you’ll also notice notes of exotic sandalwood and pine. The scent can be intense towards harvest-time, which is something to bear in mind if you’re growing the plants discreetly.

The flavours of earth, pine and berry can be picked up the taste too, along with a note of tangy spiciness.
