It’s a feminized variant of the strain, which means most of the male plants have been removed. That’s a relief for less experienced growers, as there’s less chance of any accidental fertilisation taking place.

Gelato #51 Feminized has a flowering time of 56 to 63 days, so you can gather the harvest without having to wait for ages. During the flowering phase, expect the plants to really shoot up; they’ve got sativa parentage, after all! They won’t ever grow to towering heights, though: At most, anticipate around 210 cm. Indoors, their height can be limited further.

Structurally, the strain is a blend of sativa and indica, with the stretched-out appearance of the former and the bushiness of the latter. The buds tend to be fairly large, and in cooler conditions, take on an attractive purple hue. This, combined with the fiery orange pistils, makes for a pretty plant indeed.

With the right level of care, Gelato #51 Feminized will deliver good-sized yields. Indoors, you should be able to generate around 500 to 700 g/m2, and outside, it’s not unreasonable to expect about 800 g per plant.

The strain performs best in warm, humid conditions, so a continental climate is ideal. It will grow in temperate conditions too, but make sure it gets enough sunlight. Indoors, a grow-tent will really help the plants to flourish.
