Double Tangie Banana Feminized is 40% sativa, 60% indica. It’s a cross between a Tangie and a Banana Sherbet (X 2), which results in an intensely fruity aroma and taste. The strain is compact and grows well in temperate or continental climates. It has large, resin-coated buds, and produces good-sized yields. The high is relaxing yet alert, and kicks in relatively quickly. Double Tangie Banana Feminized has THC levels of 14 to 18%.

Growing Double Tangie Banana Feminized

Double Tangie Banana Feminized cannabis seeds were originally developed by Crockett Family Farms. The strain is a mix of a Tangie, combined with two Banana Sherbets, which explains the exceptionally fruity aroma and taste.

It’s a good balance of indica and sativa (60% to 40%, to be exact). This variant is also feminized, so you won’t need to identify and remove many male plants. That means bigger harvests, minus any unwanted fertilisation.

You won’t have to wait long to get results from Double Tangie Banana Feminized. The average flowering time can be as short as 49 days (up to 70 days). It’s also a compact strain, so you can grow it discreetly, indoors or outside. The plants usually gain 150% of their height during the flowering stage, or as much as double if they’re clones.

Structurally, we’re talking a real indica here. Not only are the plants short and stocky, they’ve also got lots of large, cone-shaped flower clusters, which gives them a ‘filled out’ appearance. The buds form along the main stem and upper branches, and are big and weighty-looking. They’re also coated in sparkling, frosty resin.

While Double Tangie Banana Feminized won’t break any records for its yields, you’ll still generate a good-sized harvest. Indoors, you should be able to get 400 to 600g/m2. If you want to cultivate your plants outdoors, make sure they get plenty of warmth and sun. While they grow in temperate climates, they thrive best in continental locations.

Effect, taste, and smell of Double Tangie Banana Feminized

This strain has both indica and sativa parentage, and you’ll immediately pick this up in the high. The effects kick in pretty quickly, leaving you feeling relaxed and calm; much like a typical indica. However, the sativa comes through in the alertness and heightened awareness, making this a good choice for an evening with friends. It’s potent enough to have real impact, but not so strong that you’ll be locked to the sofa for the night.

The scent, as you might have guessed, is fruit-dominant; and the notes of banana and orange come through strongly. There are other aromas in the mix too, such as berry, dark chocolate and sweet citrus. As the plants mature, the scent will strengthen, but it never becomes too overpowering.

That pleasant banana / orange flavour is evident in the taste too, making this a particularly delicious strain. The THC content is 14 to 18%.
